Jenn,

My daughter says the same about my belly. She loves it because it is where she came from.

I will add to your celebration--

I love my arms because they are strong and are able to carry things I need.

I love my feet, face and hair because they all remind me of my deceased mother. My brother and sister don't have her features like I do so I am grateful for that.

Jenn, you know sometimes it is the simplest things that help us reconnect with what we love about ourselves and remind us how beautiful we truly are.

Thank you for this today. I needed it.

Much appreciation and love,

Teresa

I love what you say about comparing yourself... so true.

Jenn, this IS a great story. To add to your post, here is a link to Lizzie being interviewed on the Today Show. It's worth the 4 minutes and change to watch it.

Here's the link:

I'll also share one of my favorite mantras...

"Don't COMPARE...CELEBRATE!"

If you continually compare yourself to others, you rob yourself of the joy of finding all the wonderful things to celebrate about yourself and your life.

Ok I'll start... I love my belly. It's not a 6-pack, and it may never be - though I admit, I do work toward that. But it's all good, because when my daughter looks at it, she tells me that's where she lived before... and I love that.

I also love my biceps. They're toned and when I look at them, they remind me that I'm a strong woman.

I also really love my legs - they're really strong and provide me a great foundation :)
