Talk To You Fears

Fear has the responsibility of keeping you safe.
And what a big job that is. Fear keeps you from physically harming yourself – so you don’t walk out in traffic, or touch a hot stove. And fear also keeps you from those emotional hurts.
And this is where fear can paralyze you.
Who wants to be emotionally hurt?
No one, of course. We’ve all suffered from emotional hurt – rejection, resentment, harassment, embarrassment… we all have plenty of personal examples of being emotionally stomped on.
And that’s what fear is trying to keep us from experiencing again.
In your business, you may experience fear when you conduct marketing activities, or when you have to promote yourself – or when you’re about to take a big step in your business.
Time to have a chat with fear.
When I ask you “what are you afraid of?” What is the first thing that pops into your head? Don’t censor yourself, don’t think about it too much – just write down the first thing that comes up for you.
Acknowledging our fear is the first step toward dissolving it.
Have an actual conversation with your fear. Ask it things like, where did you come from? How did you get here? What do you want me to know?
Don’t fear this great big life of yours that wants to be lived. You have a purpose here and fear has no right to keep you from fulfilling that purpose.
